| The Instituto Tecnológico Hotelero is a non profitable private association which will be a centre for Innovation and technology (according to royal decree of 1996) whose main aim is to improve the competitive capability and efficiency of the whole hotel sector.
This huge project is due to the effort and willingness of the Spanish Hotel Confederation (CEHAT) that at one point realised that it was necessary to offer solutions both practical and effective to the hotel companies integrated in it.
CEHAT is the employers’ association for the Spanish hotel sector. It has a national scope and represents 46 associations in Spain comprising 7.700 hotels with 1.400.000 beds. It provides jobs for 178.000 workers.
The Instituto Tecnológico Hotelero has a permanent character and has its headquarters in Madrid. It has the objective of enhancing the hotel industry and improve the competitive capability and efficiency of the whole sector on a national basis, though it has also an international scope. It counts on a team of professionals that works to fulfil the needs of the hotel people, always looking for practical solutions to the day to day problems.
